Silver-Plated Copper Filler Update: CHOSHIELD® 2000 Series & CHO-BOND® 2165
A raw-material discontinuation has prompted a filler reformulation. Transition begins January 1, 2027.
Thank you for your continued partnership. Due to the discontinuation of a critical raw material for the silver-plated copper filler, Parker Chomerics has reformulated the CHO-SHIELD 2000 Series and CHO-BOND 2165 with a new silver-copper filler.

KEY DETAILS
Products qualified with replacement silver-plated copper meet Chomerics’ internal product qualification and conformance specifications. Products purchased to a customer’s material specification may require notification and/or prior written approval from the Material Specification
- Custodian before shipping. It is the responsibility of the purchasing party to confirm the Material Specification Custodian is notified and approval is granted prior to shipment.
- Customers may notice a slight color change with no impact to form, fit, or function of the products.
- Products qualified with the replacement filler will not require any SDS changes, as they are chemically equivalent to the original products.
- Transition begins January 1, 2027.
- Qualification reports are available upon request.
